Dodge has announced a delay in the release of the four-door Charger Daytona EV, pushing its arrival from the first half of 2025 to the latter half of the year. The electric vehicle will now be considered a 2026 model, sharing its launch timeline with the upcoming internal-combustion Charger Sixpack.
Delayed Release and Trim Options
The delay comes shortly after Dodge removed the R/T trim from the 2026 lineup, citing increased uncertainty around U.S. tariff policies. Currently, the 670-hp Scat Pack remains the only available powertrain for the Charger Daytona. However, customers still have options regarding the vehicle’s configuration. They can choose between a two-door or four-door model, and Dodge is offering a new Track package for both body styles.
Enhanced Track Package
The Track package includes several performance upgrades, such as:
- Upgraded Brembo brakes featuring fixed six-piston calipers in the front and four-pot units in the back, all painted red
- Adaptive dampers
- An onboard race recorder
- Performance seats
- A gloss-black spoiler
Additional Appearance Options
For the 2026 model year, Dodge has introduced two new appearance options:
- Racing stripes (officially called Fratzog dual stripes)
- A gloss-black hood option
Ordering Information
Dodge has confirmed that 2026 models are available for order now. However, at the time of publishing, there’s no option to build or price a 2026 Charger Daytona EV on the automaker’s consumer website.
