Dodge is making its electric muscle car, the Charger Daytona, a more attractive option for U.S. consumers by offering substantial discounts. These incentives, which are available for a limited time, can reach up to $12,500.
This bold move by Dodge aims to boost sales of its electric vehicle in a competitive market. Just months after its introduction, the Charger Daytona is already seeing significant price reductions. This strategy reflects Dodge’s commitment to accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles and offering a powerful alternative to traditional muscle cars.
To drive demand, Dodge has implemented these discounts quickly, responding to market dynamics and consumer expectations. This move may also position Dodge as a leader in the electric muscle car segment, aiming to stimulate interest and sales.
Customers can take advantage of several incentives. “The automaker recently introduced a $7,500 national incentive on the Charger Daytona,” according to CarsDirect. This rebate is combined with a $3,000 bonus under the National Dodge Performance Days Combo Bonus Cash program, bringing the total to $10,500. West Coast residents trading in a non-Stellantis vehicle are also eligible for an additional $2,000 rebate through the Conquest Cash program.
With all incentives applied, buyers can save up to $12,500, or nearly 20 percent of the list price.
Thanks to these price cuts, the base Charger Daytona R/T Stage 1 model is now available for $49,090, including shipping. The Stage 2 Scat Pack, the most powerful version, is offered at $62,685.
The Charger Daytona debuted with the aim of merging the performance expected of a modern electric vehicle with the heritage of a classic muscle car. However, high initial prices, weight concerns, and competition from more efficient electric vehicles resulted in lower-than-expected demand.
These price cuts give a considerable boost to Dodge’s electric muscle car, making it more competitive against rival EVs offering superior range and technology. Now might be the ideal time to purchase the Charger Daytona, as substantial discounts make it a much more compelling option, especially compared to the still-high prices of used V8-powered Chargers.
