Driver Airlifted After Rollover Crash on Mariposa Road in Hesperia
A serious traffic accident occurred on Monday, April 28, 2025, at approximately 10:17 a.m. on Mariposa Road in Hesperia, California. The driver of a black Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck lost control while traveling southbound on Mariposa Road, just after Mesquite Street and near Interstate 15. The vehicle left the paved road and collided with a dirt embankment and fence before overturning and coming to rest on its roof.
According to the Hesperia Police Department, the driver was ejected from the vehicle during the crash. The San Bernardino County Fire rescue crew responded to the incident and found the driver in need of medical attention. Mercy Air #2 helicopter was dispatched to the scene, landing on a nearby street to transport the driver to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. The extent of the driver’s injuries is currently unknown.
The cause of the crash is under investigation by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Hesperia Station. The incident is a reminder of the importance of road safety and the potential consequences of losing control while driving.
