Electric Ferrari Scooped: The Supercar of the EV World Draws Near
Ferrari is forging ahead into the electric vehicle market, with plans to launch its first all-electric supercar. While some competitors are delaying their EV projects, Ferrari is pushing forward, with a debut expected later in 2025.

Ferrari’s approach to EVs is rooted in its core values. CEO Benedetto Vigna has emphasized that the electric car will be a true Ferrari first, prioritizing performance and driving experience. He notes that the company has the advantage of not needing to cut costs in the same way as other EV manufacturers.
“We develop new technologies out of a desire to improve the quality of life, not only from a utility point of view but also for fun. The electric car will do this. I have driven it, and it is something unique.”
Reports suggest the electric Ferrari will be priced above €500,000 (£413,000). The company has invested significantly in electrification through its Formula 1 and endurance racing programs.

Ferrari’s new e-plant in Maranello highlights the brand’s commitment to electric technology. Initial reports hinted at a 2+2 crossover design, aligning with the current SUV trend in the performance car market. While this design is practical for packaging batteries, it may disappoint those hoping for a more traditional supercar form. The debut date is expected to be later in 2025.
