The Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce organized a Big E Consumer Showcase at the Saratoga Springs City Center on Thursday, providing a convenient platform for consumers to examine and compare various electric vehicle (EV) models from local dealerships.
Participating in the event were representatives from twenty dealerships, offering a diverse display of EVs, hybrids, and plug-in models from brands such as Cadillac, Jeep, Ford, and Volkswagen. The showcase aimed to simplify the EV shopping process for residents. “A lot of people are buying EV cars, all sorts of makes and models. If you want to compare them you have to go from dealership to dealership, we thought we would make it super convenient for people to see what all our local dealers have for cars that are EVs, hybrids or plug-ins,” explained Todd Shimkus, president of the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce.
In addition to the vehicle displays, the showcase also featured vendors specializing in the installation of car chargers, solar power systems, and heat pumps.
