Electric Vehicles Offering the Longest Range
For many, a car represents freedom, enabling everything from the daily commute to cross-country adventures. If you enjoy long drives but are considering an electric vehicle (EV), you’re likely familiar with ‘range anxiety.’ This is the worry that your EV might not have enough battery capacity to complete a journey, and it’s a legitimate concern given the current state of charging networks in North America.
According to a Cars.com survey, range is a critical factor for potential EV buyers, with 68% citing it as a major consideration. Among current EV owners, 63% said range significantly impacted their purchasing decision.
Considering this, we compiled a list of EVs available for the 2025 model year that have published EPA ratings and offer a minimum of 325 miles of total driving range. Previously, our threshold was 300 miles, but battery technology has advanced significantly, expanding the “Over 300 Club” to include over 30 cars at the time of this writing. The vehicles vary widely in style and size, from luxurious SUVs and high-performance sports sedans to pickup trucks and practical crossovers.
All range figures are based on EPA estimates, which are, of course, estimates themselves. We’re not using manufacturer estimates for this list; EPA figures provide a standardized dataset for comparison. We’re also omitting vehicles without EPA estimates in this roundup. Remember, your actual range may vary based on factors such as weather, driving conditions, driving style, and passenger load.
The prices listed below are for the specific trim that delivers the best driving range. If multiple trims offer the same maximum range, we’ve indicated the least expensive one. The driving range can vary considerably depending on which trim you choose. We haven’t considered any potential local, state, or federal EV tax incentives when establishing our pricing information.
