Facebook App: Open Links in External Browser
There’s an occasional issue with the Facebook in-app browser where it might make requests to websites without using cookies that were previously set. This seems to be a browser bug that will hopefully be resolved. The workaround is to keep using the Facebook app, but to avoid the in-app browser. To do this:
- Open the settings menu by tapping the hamburger menu (three horizontal lines) in the top right corner.
- Choose “App Settings” from the menu.
- Turn on the “Links Open Externally” option. This will make the links open in your device’s default browser.
