Facelifted Mercedes C-Class Caught with Subtle Updates
The 2026 Mercedes C-Class has been spotted with reduced camouflage, revealing a relatively minor facelift that focuses on styling rather than substantial changes. Spy photographers have captured the updated model on multiple occasions as its debut approaches.
The most notable exterior change is the adoption of starry headlights, a feature that has become a signature Mercedes design element. While the front end remains heavily disguised, the new headlights are a prominent update. The C-Class will also receive a lightly revised grille and a new front bumper, though these changes are not dramatic.
The side mirrors are getting C-shaped turn signals, a modern touch that enhances the vehicle’s appearance. At the rear, the primary change is new taillight graphics featuring a star pattern, maintaining consistency with the front end’s design language.
Inside, the updates are expected to include a new steering wheel and an updated infotainment system, potentially featuring the fourth-generation MBUX system. This new system, recently introduced in the CLA, brings extensive AI integration and a MBUX Virtual Assistant, promising to revolutionize the driver-vehicle interface.
Powertrain updates are anticipated to be minor, although the Euro 7 emission standards coming into effect next year may necessitate some changes. The current US-spec model features a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 255 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. In Germany, the options are more diverse, including mild hybrid and plug-in hybrid variants.
