Ford Recalls Over 1 Million Vehicles Due to Rearview Camera Issue
Ford Motor Company is recalling more than 1 million vehicles in the United States due to a software issue affecting the rearview cameras in various models. The recall involves 17 Ford and Lincoln models, including the 2021-2024 Ford Bronco, F-150, Edge, Escape (2023-2024), Corsair, F-250, F-350, F-450, F-550, F-600, Expedition (2022-2024), Transit (2022-2025), Mustang Mach-E (2021-2023), Lincoln Nautilus, Ranger (2024), Mustang, and Navigator (2022-2024).
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the software issue may cause the rearview camera image to delay, freeze, or not display at all. Ford has reported being aware of one allegation of a minor crash resulting in property damage related to this issue.
