Ford Revives Classic Street Truck Style with New F-150 Lobo
Ford has unveiled the new F-150 Lobo, a modern interpretation of the classic street truck style. The aggressive new model is set to hit US dealerships this fall, with prices starting at $59,995 before taxes.
The Lobo is based on the F-150 4×4 SuperCrew STX but features a distinct makeover. Its body has been lowered by 2 inches (51mm) at the rear end, giving it a more menacing stance. The truck boasts a 10-piece body kit, dual exhaust outlets, and a unique four-part light bar across the blacked-out front grille.

Despite its sportier appearance, the Lobo retains the F-150’s signature 5.0-liter ‘Coyote’ V8 engine, producing 400 horsepower, 556 newton meters of torque, and 298 kilowatts. This power is channeled through a 10-speed automatic transmission and a flexible four-wheel-drive system.

The name ‘Lobo,’ meaning ‘wolf’ in Spanish, reflects the truck’s bold and menacing design. This is not the first time Ford has used the Lobo label; it’s also used for F-150 models sold by Ford of Mexico since 1996.
