Ford’s 2025 F-150 Lobo Takes On a Street-Style Edge
Ford has unveiled its take on street-truck style with the 2025 Ford F-150 Lobo, following the success of the Maverick Lobo compact pickup. The Lobo package transforms the F-150 with unique appearance touches, starting at $59,995.
The F-150 Lobo is built on an STX-trim foundation with a 5.0-liter V8 engine, producing 400 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque. The truck features a distinct front end with a gloss-black lower mesh grille insert and a unique upper honeycomb-style grille. The design is completed with black-accented exterior features, including hood vents, exhaust tips, special badging, and ground effects, all part of a 10-piece appearance package.
Key features of the F-150 Lobo include:
- 22-inch gloss-black wheels
- Unique taillamps with a distinct light signature
- Dual exhaust system
- Limited paint choices: Oxford white, carbonized gray, atlas blue, agate black, and rapid red
To achieve a more street-worthy stance, Ford has lowered the rear suspension by 2 inches. While this affects the towing and payload capacities, slightly reducing them to 7,900 lbs and 1,450 lbs respectively, it enhances the truck’s on-road presence.
The Lobo package is exclusively available on the F-150 STX trim in SuperCrew short-bed form. According to Josh Blundo, lead exterior designer, the formula for the F-150 Lobo involves dropping the suspension, enhancing V8 sound and performance, and adding aggressive styling elements.
Ford is targeting customers who customize their pickups for street performance. “Our team knows what the street truck crowd wants because we’ve seen their trucks,” Blundo noted. The automaker believes it has tapped into an untapped market that has been overlooked for two decades.
The 2025 F-150 Lobo is set to arrive in showrooms this fall, with the Lobo package priced at $4,695 on top of the base STX trim price.
