Four Exciting New Electric Vans from the 2025 Commercial Vehicle Show
The 2025 Commercial Vehicle Show in Birmingham may not be the most glamorous venue, but it was the perfect stage for several new electric van debuts. These vehicles are set to revolutionize the commercial vehicle market as it shifts towards electrification, aiming to phase out petrol and diesel vans by 2035. Here are four of the most exciting electric vans we saw at the show.
Renault Trafic, Estafette, and Goelette: Versatile Electric Solutions
Renault unveiled three new models based on a shared electric platform developed in collaboration with Volvo, CMA CGM, and others. The Trafic, Estafette, and Goelette offer impressive range, efficiency, and adaptability. The Trafic is a traditional panel van with up to 279 miles of range, while the Goelette is a chassis-cab version allowing for various body configurations. The Estafette is designed for delivery work, featuring ultra-light sliding doors and a tall interior. Production begins in 2026.

Isuzu D-Max Electric: A Robust Electric Pickup
Isuzu surprised the market with a fully-electric version of its popular D-Max pickup truck. Unlike other electric pickups, the D-Max Electric features four-wheel drive and can tow 3.5 tonnes with a payload of over 1,000kg. However, its range is limited to around 160 miles due to a relatively small battery.

Farizon SV: Innovative Electric Van Technology
The Farizon SV, backed by Geely, introduces by-wire technology for controls, enhancing responsiveness and energy recovery. It offers three battery options, with the largest claiming 247 miles of range and excellent payload capacity. Although Farizon is new to the UK market without a established dealership network, it’s a brand to watch.

Kia PV5: Affordable Electric Van with Variety
Kia’s entry into the commercial vehicle market is the PV5 electric van, offering various bodystyles, including a people-carrier version. With the plug-in van grant, it’s available for under £23,000. The PV5 promises good range and value, positioning Kia for a significant share in the evolving electric van market.

These new electric vans represent the future of commercial transportation, offering innovative solutions for businesses and paving the way for a more sustainable transport sector.
