From Trash to Treasure: A Dundas Success Story
Malcolm and Maria Watt of Dundas didn’t set out to become thrifting entrepreneurs, but that’s exactly what happened. After Malcolm was laid off and tired of lending his truck, Maria suggested they start charging for their junk removal services. That small idea blossomed into Junk Truck MN, which has burgeoned into M&M Resources, a bustling emporium of secondhand treasures in Dundas, Minnesota.

The thrift store, located in a warehouse, is filled with items reclaimed from their junk removal jobs. DVDs and CDs, furniture, vinyl records, and other odds and ends fill the shelves. “When I started this, we had no idea it would turn into this,” said Malcolm Watt.

Their journey began with an old pickup truck, and has expanded to a multi-vehicle fleet. The Watts work hard to provide accessible services and the prices reflect that. Movies are a dollar, and you can find everything from antique china to old board games.
“You got a whole lot of stuff here… You can find everything here,” said Malcolm Watt.
Maria Watt focuses on the sales and customer service aspect of the business. She is constantly on the lookout for ways to improve and find new homes for everything.
“I like to see where it goes,” she said, speaking of the items they find and sell. M&M Resources also seeks to find homes where items can be put to good use, including donating to those in need.
M&M Resources is located at 205 3rd Street in Dundas. If you’re looking for a treasure, the Watts might have what you need.
