Geely’s Australia-Bound Electric Van Packs Luxury Car Features
Farizon, the commercial vehicle division of Chinese automotive giant Geely, has unveiled more details about its upcoming electric van lineup, scheduled to launch in Australia this year. The SuperVan cargo hauler, also known as the SV, will lead the brand’s local debut, alongside the H9E trucks.
While the vans will be publicly showcased next weekend in Sydney, Farizon is planning an official launch in Melbourne next month.

Farizon previously gained approval for three wheelbase sizes for its SuperVan lineup. However, the initial launch will include three electric vans. The Australian range will include one short-wheelbase (SWB) and two long-wheelbase (LWB) SuperVans, offered in low- (SWB and LWB) and high-roof (LWB only) configurations.
Based on company information and government approval documents, the expected dimensions for each variant will be revealed soon.
Each van will be powered by an 83kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack, linked to a 170kW electric motor with 336Nm of torque driving the front wheels.

While specific details are yet to be announced, the low-roof SuperVan is projected to have a driving range of 376km on the WLTP test cycle. This van is also the first electric van in Australia to offer vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality, enabling owners to power tools with the onboard battery. Further features include “30 different safety features,” a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, a surround-view camera, 270-degree barn doors, and heated and ventilated seats.
Ventilated seats are an unusual feature for a commercial vehicle, even though heated seats are becoming increasingly common in vans.

Previous reports stated the SuperVan might be available either with or without windows on its sliding side doors. Every version of the electric van will be fitted with 16-inch wheels.
Pricing isn’t yet finalized. Still, based on the SuperVan’s comparable dimensions to the LDV eDeliver 7 – which is available in short- and long-wheelbase versions, with similar battery capacity – it’s probable Farizon will price its electric van within the $60,000 to $70,000 range.
The mid-sized electric van market in Australia presently features the eDeliver 7, Peugeot E-Expert, Mercedes-Benz eVito, and Volkswagen ID.Buzz Cargo. Ford is set to introduce the E-Transit Custom this year, further expanding the options for electric van customers in Australia.
