Genesis has unveiled a partially updated version of its GV60 electric SUV, introducing several enhancements to design, performance, and technology. The revamp, which includes an increased driving range and a refined aesthetic, aims to solidify the GV60’s position in the luxury EV market.

The new GV60 features design upgrades based on Genesis’s “dynamic elegance” design language, with a focus on a more iconic and luxurious appearance. The front and rear bumpers have been redesigned for a more dynamic and three-dimensional look. Furthermore, the headlights now incorporate Micro Lens Array (MLA) technology. New wheel designs, including 21-inch dark metallic glossy gray and 20-inch light silver options, contribute to the vehicle’s refreshed profile, along with body-colored wheel arch cladding.

Inside, the GV60 incorporates a 27-inch integrated wide display, which removes the bezel between the cluster and AVN screen to create a seamless appearance. A new three-spoke steering wheel and aluminum interior accents add a modern touch.

A significant update is the increase in battery capacity from 77.4 kWh to 84 kWh, extending the GV60’s range to 481 kilometers (based on the combined cycle, 2WD models). The vehicle also benefits from improved air performance thanks to bumper refinements and a 3D full undercover. Despite the larger battery, the GV60 retains its 18-minute charging time (10% to 80%) using a 350 kW fast charger, and the battery conditioning mode has also been improved for optimal fast charging in cold weather. The Smart Regenerative Braking System 3.0 enhances efficiency and convenience.

The GV60 Performance AWD model offers robust performance, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.0 seconds in boost mode, with 360 kW (490ps) and a maximum torque of 700 Nm (71.4 kgfm). All models are equipped with 4P monoblock brake calipers.

Ride comfort has been enhanced with improvements to the front and rear shock absorber valves within the Preview Electronic Control Suspension (ECS) setup, and the interior benefits from enhanced quietness thanks to Active Noise Control-Road (ANC-R) technology. The GV60 also features Virtual Gear Shift (VGS) for an internal combustion engine-like shifting experience, Hidden Drift for dynamic driving through precise drive force allocation and braking, and Electronic Differential Limiting Device (e-LSD) to improve power distribution. The GV60 also benefits from advanced driver-assistance systems, including Driver Status Monitoring (ICC), Lane Maintenance Assistance 2, and a Direct Detection (HoD) steering wheel. Furthermore, the vehicle adds smart parking and battery charging capabilities through wireless software updates (OTA).
The Genesis GV60 is available at a starting price of 64.9 million won (based on electric vehicle tax benefits and without subsidies) for the Standard 2WD model, 68.51 million won for Standard AWD, and 72.88 million won for the Performance AWD variant.
“The GV60 is a model that combines iconic and luxurious design with a relaxed and luxurious driving experience, with moments of intense performance,” stated a Genesis official. “We have significantly strengthened the GV60’s market appeal by applying the 84kWh 4th generation battery, MLA headlamps, 27-inch integrated wide display, and Lane Keeping Assistance 2, all while minimizing price increases.”
