General Motors is recalling over 90,000 Cadillac and Chevrolet vehicles, according to a notice issued this week by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
The recall affects certain model years of the Cadillac CT4, CT5, and CT6, along with select Chevrolet Camaro models. The issue stems from potential internal transmission damage, which could lead to the front wheels locking up. This malfunction elevates the risk of a vehicle crash.
Owners of the affected vehicles can expect to receive a mailing regarding the recall on April 21. Authorized dealers will install “transmission control module monitoring software” at no cost to the customer.
