Earlier this summer, Jason Aller opened Rajikaru Imports at 185 West State St. in Granby, a dealership focused on the sale of Kei trucks, the small, fuel-efficient vehicles popular in Japan.
Aller had a passion for these diminutive vehicles, having purchased his first Kei truck approximately four years prior to establishing his own dealership. However, since the dealership’s opening, he has faced unexpected challenges. The phone calls have changed: instead of new customer inquiries, Aller now fields calls from disappointed customers unable to register their Kei cars and drive them on Massachusetts roads. These registration obstacles pose a significant hurdle for Rajikaru Imports and its customers.
