A Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office deputy was injured in a rollover crash Wednesday afternoon in Riverview, Florida, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said the crash occurred at the intersection of Bloomingdale Avenue and Gornto Lake Road shortly before 2:45 p.m. Video released by the Sheriff’s Office shows a white pickup truck colliding with the deputy’s cruiser as it entered the intersection. The cruiser then rolled over, coming to rest on its wheels after hitting another vehicle stopped at a traffic light.
The deputy was en route to a call with lights and sirens activated at the time of the crash. The deputy sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital. No other injuries were reported. The Sheriff’s Office has not released the name of the deputy or the other drivers involved.
