Two bodies were discovered in a pickup truck parked on a Santa Cruz Mountains road, prompting a homicide investigation.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) announced the discovery, which occurred around 6:50 p.m. on Monday, March 24, at a pullout on the east side of Skyline Boulevard near Oak Ridge Road. Since Skyline Boulevard is a state highway, the CHP is leading the investigation.
An agency spokesperson has not yet released the identities of the victims or the cause of death.
A woman who identified herself as the sister of one of the victims told KSBW, a local TV station, that her brother was from Boulder Creek and the other victim was a friend.
