Two bodies were discovered in a pickup truck parked alongside a road in the Santa Cruz Mountains, prompting a homicide investigation. The grim find occurred around 6:50 p.m. on Monday, March 24, at a pullout on the east side of Skyline Boulevard near Oak Ridge Road, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
Because Skyline Boulevard is a state highway, the CHP is leading the investigation. A spokesperson for the agency has not yet released the identities of the victims or the cause of death. However, a woman who identified herself as the sister of one of the victims told KSBW, a local TV station, that her brother was from Boulder Creek and the other victim was a friend of his.
