Mercedes-Benz Unveils EQS 580 Celebration Edition in India
Mercedes-Benz has introduced a special edition of its flagship sedan, the EQS 580 Celebration Edition, in the Indian market. Priced at Rs 1.30 crore, this limited-edition model comes with additional features and enhancements over the standard version. Only 50 units of the EQS 580 Celebration Edition will be available nationwide.
Enhanced Features and Luxury
The Mercedes EQS 580 Celebration Edition boasts a Rear Seat Comfort Package, featuring multi-contour seats with massage functions, lumbar support, and a recline of up to 38 degrees. Buyers can also opt for the Chauffeur package, which allows electronic adjustment of the front seats from the rear. The special edition comes standard with Nappa leather upholstery and designer seatbelt buckles. Additionally, it features Mercedes-Benz’s MBUX Augmented Reality navigation system, providing real-time navigation instructions through a live camera view of the road.
Exterior Design and Dimensions

The exterior of the Mercedes EQS 580 Celebration Edition showcases an illuminated grille cover, LED headlamps, 20-inch alloy wheels, and a rear light bar. The vehicle measures 5,216mm in length, 2,125mm in width, and 1,521mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,210mm and a ground clearance of 124mm.
Performance and Range
The EQS 580 Celebration Edition is powered by a 107.8kWh battery pack, paired with two electric motors (one on each axle), delivering a combined power output of 544bhp and 858Nm of torque. The electric sedan accelerates from 0 to 100kmph in 4.3 seconds and features an AWD (all-wheel drive) system. Mercedes-Benz claims an ARAI-certified range of 817km on a single charge. The battery can be fully charged in 11-17 hours using a 7.4kW charger, or from 0 to 80% in approximately 31 minutes with a 200kW DC fast charger.
