GR8TOPS Unveils Jeep Wrangler Pickup Conversion Kit
GR8TOPS, a South Carolina-based Jeep specialist, has introduced a ‘bolt-on’ pickup kit for the current JL-generation Wrangler Unlimited. The JTRUK kit transforms four-door Jeep models into single-cab trucks with a 6-foot-long divorced bed. The kit doesn’t include the bed itself, which can be sourced from a Ford Ranger or custom-built.

The JTRUK kit is available for JLU and JKU Wranglers, as well as JT Gladiators, priced between $4,900 and $5,400. According to GR8TOPS, the kit can be installed within a day without modifying the frame, brake line, fuel line, or driveline. The company aimed to make the installation easy and the result visually appealing.
The kit is designed to work with Jeep’s Freedom Panels or equivalent aftermarket accessories. For soft-top Wranglers, a removable hardtop is required, which GR8TOPS can provide at an additional cost. The conversion can be done by the average person with basic tools, or GR8TOPS can perform a turnkey installation for $11,500.
GR8TOPS has also introduced the Personalized Overlanding Den (JPOD), a customizable camper top designed to pair with the JTRUK installation on Wrangler Unlimited models. The JPOD measures 7 feet long, 6 feet wide, and 4 feet tall, featuring off-the-grid essentials like a pull-out sofa bed, storage cabinets, and climate control. While still in prototype, the JPOD will require modifications to the Wrangler body but not the frame.
Interested parties can register their interest for the JPOD on GR8TOPS’ website. The company is working on adding a pass-through window between the camper and cockpit for improved airflow and visibility when parked.
