Joanna Gaines, known for designing dream homes and even a dream hotel, may now be focused on acquiring her dream car. The ‘Fixer Upper’ star recently shared a picture of a 1992 Range Rover from Overland Projects on her Instagram, accompanied by a red heart emoji.
Gaines is no stranger to luxury SUVs; she was seen driving a Land Cruiser on her 43rd birthday, while her husband, Chip, prefers a Chevrolet Suburban. However, this Range Rover is different. Overland Projects, founded by Danny Blanton in 2011, specializes in transforming four-by-four vehicles into high-end, custom creations, and this particular Range Rover is no exception.

“I build these to be modern daily drivers,” Blanton wrote in the photo’s caption, emphasizing that these vehicles are not just cleaned and painted but are thoroughly improved. While Overland Projects doesn’t typically reveal the specifics of each model, details emerging from the vehicle suggest the 33-year-old car has been repainted in a bold Ferrari black and coated with a seven-year ceramic finish. Inside, the seats are upholstered with bright camel leather, creating a striking counterpoint to the dark exterior. The vehicle’s stylish features include billet aluminum mill lettering, a custom skid plate, and rostyle wheels, promising a unique driving experience.
Gaines isn’t the only one impressed by Overland Projects’s 1992 Range Rover. Instagram users have also expressed their admiration. However, those hoping to purchase this vehicle, whether it’s Gaines or someone else, should be prepared for a significant investment. Car pricing site Edmunds estimates that a 1992 Range Rover could be worth up to $9,648 depending on condition and mileage—a figure that doesn’t include the extensive work and modifications done by Overland Projects. While Overland Projects doesn’t publicly list their prices, some Redditors speculate that a bespoke vintage car could cost over $100,000, potentially reaching the millions depending on the project’s scope. Despite the anticipated high cost, the craftsmanship and attention to detail suggest that Gaines could be cruising into the sunset in a truly remarkable vehicle.
