Karma Automotive, after a decade of navigating the automotive landscape, has revealed the Amaris. This two-door extended-range electric coupe showcases an evolution of the brand’s Comet Line design language. The new car is set to be eye-catching with remarkable performance.
The Amaris sits on an all-aluminum space frame, originally from the Revero, draped in a body of carbon fiber and aluminum. The design features 22-inch forged aluminum wheels, a clamshell hood, and a pass-through rear spoiler.
The Amaris also incorporates side-exit tailpipes. This is for styling, despite the exhaust system connecting to a four-cylinder range extender designed to recharge the battery.
Karma projects the Amaris will deliver blistering performance, accelerating from 0 to 60 miles per hour in under 3.5 seconds. The top speed is estimated at 165 miles per hour.
In addition to the Amaris, Karma has adjusted plans for the Gyesera, originally unveiled last year. It will now be a range-extended EV instead of a pure battery-electric vehicle. Karma cites shifts in near-term EV demand as the reason for the change, mirroring decisions by other automakers. Additionally, the 1,000-horsepower Kaveya EV launch is delayed until 2027.
Company president Marques McCammon stated that Karma aims to build a vehicle lineup that delivers “exceptional EV torque and performance paired with worry-free cruising range.” The Amaris is expected to enter production in the fourth quarter of 2026, with pricing details to be released closer to the launch date.
