Lando Norris, the 25-year-old McLaren Formula 1 driver, has a passion for luxury cars that rivals his dedication to racing. The British driver’s collection is a testament to his success on the track, featuring some of the most exclusive and expensive vehicles in the world.
At the heart of Norris’ collection is his prized Lamborghini Miura, considered by many to be the first supercar ever made. With fewer than 800 units produced between 1966 and 1973, this £2m masterpiece is not only Norris’ most significant purchase but also a nod to his childhood fascination with cars. “I bought it because I watched the Lamborghini movie,” Norris admitted. “It’s a car I loved and thought was pretty cool.”
Norris’ garage is filled with an array of high-performance vehicles, including a customized McLaren 765LT Spider, a P1, and a Senna. The 765LT Spider, in particular, showcases Norris’ personal touch, with ‘LN’ emblazoned on the driver’s seat and a British flag inside the door. “McLarens have been the ones that I’ve spent the most time making and doing special touches on,” Norris explained.
Other notable additions to his collection include a £1.1m Porsche Carrera GT and a 1972 Fiat 500 Jolly Evocation. Norris recently acquired a £230k Lamborghini Urus, which he was spotted driving in Monaco.
However, not all experiences with his collection have been positive. Norris was furious when someone borrowed his £1m-plus Ferrari F40 without permission and crashed it in Monaco over New Year’s. “It was when I was away. I wasn’t happy at all,” Norris said, still visibly upset.
As Norris focuses on becoming a world champion, he’s balancing his love for cars with his racing career. “I’m a guy that wants to enjoy my life but also knows the balance of what’s good for me and what’s not,” he said. With his impressive car collection and rising star status in F1, Norris is certainly making headlines both on and off the track.
