It appears that the unveiling of the new electric Volvo ES90 saloon, scheduled for March 5th, may have been slightly overshadowed by a leaked image. The photo, circulating online, seemingly originates from Volvo’s Belgian website, according to Swedish publication alltomelbil.

While the authenticity of the image remains unconfirmed, the leak is considered credible. The design elements, blending cues from the EX90 with the general shape of the current S90, align with previous teaser images. However, the car appears to ride slightly higher than one might expect for a saloon, bearing a resemblance to an upsized Polestar 2.
Regardless of the image’s authenticity, the ES90 is confirmed to be a technological showcase. It promises to be even more advanced than the EX90 and will share its underlying architecture. The ES90 will feature cutting-edge processing power with a pair of Nvidia computers capable of 508 trillion operations per second, along with an array of sensors including five radars, a LIDAR box, 12 ultrasonics, and eight cameras.
Similar to the EX90, the ES90 is expected to be launched with an all-wheel-drive powertrain delivering up to 500bhp. A rear-wheel-drive version with 295bhp and a potential range of up to 435 miles, along with a 10-80% charging time of just 20 minutes, is also anticipated.
The official unveiling of the Volvo ES90 is set for March 5th.
