Eligible Electric Vehicles for $7500 Federal Tax Credit
The U.S. government has released a list of electric vehicles eligible for tax incentives. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has compiled a comprehensive list of EVs that qualify for the full $7500 federal tax credit. We’ve gathered the currently eligible 2025 and 2026 models, excluding plug-in hybrid vehicles.
New Federal EV Tax Credit Requirements
Stricter government requirements have reduced the list of eligible vehicles. New rules effective January 1, 2024, regarding battery sourcing have further limited the qualifying EVs. For a detailed explanation of how EV tax credits work, refer to our dedicated article.
