Local Driver Stops Suspected Robber from Stealing Pickup Truck
HARRISON, Ohio – A dramatic scene unfolded at a UDF gas station in Harrison on Wednesday morning when a would-be thief attempted to steal a pickup truck while the owner was pumping gas. The owner, quick-thinking and alert, jumped into the truck and managed to stop it, holding the suspect until police arrived.
According to Harrison Police, the incident occurred at the UDF on South State Street. Witnesses described seeing two men on the ground in the parking lot next to the pickup truck. After reviewing surveillance footage and speaking with witnesses, police identified 27-year-old Jordan Kuhn of Cincinnati as the suspect.
Kuhn is alleged to have entered the pickup truck while the owner was at the pump and attempted to drive away. The owner, reacting swiftly, jumped into the truck and brought it to a stop. He then held Kuhn until law enforcement officers arrived to take the suspect into custody.
Kuhn faces charges of aggravated robbery, theft of a firearm, and obstructing official business. The swift actions of the pickup truck’s owner undoubtedly prevented a potentially more serious situation from developing.
