Luxury high-performance tuning company Brabus has ventured into creating private islands, marking a significant departure from its traditional automotive modifications.
The German aftermarket modifier, famous for its association with Mercedes, Maybach, and Smart, is best known for models like the Brabus G-Wagon and the recently unveiled Brabus Big Boy motorhome. Now, they’re branching into luxury real estate with a project aptly named Brabus Island in Abu Dhabi.

Brabus Island, a 0.4 square mile piece of land, will feature four high-rise towers with 350 apartments and around 100 villas. The project is being developed in collaboration with Abu Dhabi-based developer Reportage Properties. Each home on the island will have a highly customizable interior, consistent with Brabus’s reputation for bespoke modifications.

Apartment buyers will be able to choose from three distinct aesthetics: Black and Bold, White Bliss, or Grey Haven. Each property is inspired by Brabus’s ‘signature look and feel.’ The minimum cost of an apartment is expected to be around £600,000, while the most expensive ones could go up to £5.5 million.

Construction on Brabus Island is set to begin this summer, with completion expected by early 2028. This ambitious project represents a new frontier for Brabus, which has been in operation since 1977 and has previously worked with luxury brands like Porsche and Rolls-Royce.
Brabus CEO Constantin Buschmann described the project as an exciting and significant design opportunity, stating that the company is ‘not just designing vehicles for a lifestyle – we’re designing the lifestyle itself.’
