Macclenny Woman Killed in Clay County SUV-Pickup Truck Crash, FHP Reports
CLAY COUNTY, Fla. — A Macclenny woman died, and a man sustained serious injuries following a Sunday morning crash in Clay County involving an SUV and a pickup truck, the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) confirmed.
The accident occurred around 4:10 a.m. According to the FHP report, a 19-year-old Jacksonville man was driving a pickup truck west on County Road 218. A 21-year-old woman from Macclenny was driving an SUV south towards C.R. 218 on Nolan Road. The pickup truck reportedly entered the SUV’s path, resulting in a collision with the driver’s side corner of the truck’s front bumper.
Neither driver was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, the FHP indicated. The Macclenny woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
