Fatal Crash on Horizon Boulevard
A 47-year-old man, identified as Marco Jimenez, died after a head-on crash on Horizon Boulevard in Socorro, Texas, on Tuesday. According to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, Jimenez was driving a Kia Forte that veered into oncoming traffic and collided with a white Ford pickup truck at around 4:40 p.m. near Robin Road.
The incident remains under investigation, with authorities noting that the Kia was changing lanes erratically before the crash. Jimenez was taken to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the Ford pickup was also hospitalized but suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash occurred at the 1100 block of Horizon Boulevard, and the area remained closed after the incident. The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
