    Man Dies in High-Speed Crash into Parked UPS Truck in Houston

    HOUSTON (KIAH) — A man was pronounced dead at the scene following a high-speed crash into a legally parked UPS truck on Friday. According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred around 5:48 p.m. in the 13600 block of Crisman Road. The driver of a Ford F-150 pickup truck, identified as Pascual Adrian Martinez Rodriguez, crashed into the UPS truck, which had its emergency flashers on. Witnesses reported that the pickup truck was traveling at a high speed and didn’t have time to avoid the parked vehicle. The UPS driver, who was not in the truck at the time of the crash, remained at the scene to assist with the investigation. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division is investigating the incident, but preliminary reports indicate no signs of impairment. The investigation is ongoing.
