Fatal Truck Accident on Interstate 240
ASHEVILLE, N.C. — A 34-year-old man died after losing control of his truck on Interstate 240, causing it to roll over on Sunday, June 15, according to the Asheville Police Department.
The incident occurred around 11:23 a.m. when Dustin Lee Hensley, driving a 2012 Ford pickup truck towing a trailer of hay bales, lost control while traveling westbound on I-240 near Exit 1B. The truck and trailer subsequently rolled over.

Hensley was transported to Mission Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. A passenger in the truck sustained minor injuries.
The westbound lanes of I-240 were closed for about an hour while officers investigated the scene. The Asheville Police Department is continuing to investigate the collision.
