LAFAYETTE, Ind. — A man in his 40s died in a single-vehicle crash Wednesday evening on Teal Road. The accident occurred around 7 p.m. in the 2200 block of Teal Road.
According to Lafayette police, the man was driving a black pickup truck westbound on Teal Road. The vehicle veered across the eastbound lanes and struck a tree, police said. Officers discovered the man deceased inside the truck.
Authorities confirmed the man was the only occupant of the vehicle. Crash reconstruction specialists are currently investigating the cause of the accident.
“A forensic pathologist will perform an autopsy on Thursday afternoon,” stated Tippecanoe County Coroner Carrie Costello. She also indicated that the man’s name, age, and city of residence will be released once his identity is confirmed and next of kin have been notified.
