Manny Khoshbin, the prominent California real estate mogul and luxury car aficionado, has sold his exceptionally rare McLaren Speedtail Hermes Edition to a collector in Japan.
Delivered to Khoshbin in 2021, this bespoke hypercar (VIN 024) was the result of a collaboration between British automaker McLaren and the renowned French fashion house, Hermes. Widely regarded as the most luxurious and highest-priced Speedtail ever made, the vehicle took inspiration from another prized possession in Khoshbin’s collection—a Hermes edition Bugatti Chiron.
The Speedtail’s exterior is finished in a striking Hermes Blue, complemented by a distinct silver Hermes “H” logo on the lower door panels, adding to its exclusive appeal. The interior features a sophisticated two-tone leather arrangement in Vintage Brown and cream, meticulously crafted by Hermes artisans. Further accentuating its luxurious nature, the car also includes a custom-made luggage set.
Powering this sleek machine is a potent hybrid drivetrain combining gasoline and electric motors, generating an impressive 1,036 horsepower. The Speedtail showcases exceptional performance capabilities, accelerating from zero to 186 mph in a mere 12.8 seconds and achieving a top speed of 250 mph.
The sale of Khoshbin’s unique vehicle to a Japanese collector illustrates the ongoing global demand for high-end, exclusive hypercars. While the exact selling price has not been disclosed, market analysts anticipate that the transaction likely exceeded several million dollars, given the car’s bespoke nature and scarcity. This highlights Khoshbin’s established interest in unique automotive investments, emphasizing how collaborations between luxury fashion brands and high-end automakers continue to attract wealthy car enthusiasts worldwide.
