Mansory, renowned for its extravagant vehicle modifications, has turned its attention to the Mercedes-Benz V-Class van, transforming it into an ultra-luxurious vehicle. The customization program, unveiled at Auto Shanghai 2025, is specifically designed for the Chinese market, where large, luxurious MPVs and vans are highly prized by wealthy individuals and corporations as status symbols and comfortable transportation solutions.
Exterior Transformation
The most striking exterior feature is a massive, chrome-plated front grille reminiscent of a Rolls-Royce, integrated into a redesigned front bumper with additional daytime running lights. Carbon fiber accents appear throughout, including on the hood, mirror caps, and side skirts. Bespoke Mansory wheels and fender attachments complete the aggressive exterior makeover. The company showcased multiple V-Class variants in Shanghai, featuring different color schemes such as white-and-black or black-and-brown combinations.
Opulent Interiors
While the exterior exudes assertiveness, the interiors represent the pinnacle of luxury. The customization program allows for highly personalized cabins, with the showcased vehicles featuring quilted leather upholstery in single or multi-tone schemes covering nearly every surface. The focus is clearly on rear passenger comfort, reflecting the vehicle’s intended use as a chauffeur-driven VIP shuttle or mobile office. Interiors can be configured with individual rear captain’s chairs, some rear-facing, complete with generous armrests and extendable footrests. Additional features include deployable tables between seats, privacy curtains, and custom headliners.
Features and Functionality
A partition separating the driver from the rear cabin, equipped with an intercom system, ensures privacy and facilitates communication with the driver. While Mansory is known for modifying powertrains in its supercar projects, there was no mention of engine upgrades for the V-Class program. The focus remains on aesthetic transformation and interior luxury, leveraging the V-Class’s inherent practicality. The suspension may receive modifications to ensure a smooth ride, but the diesel or gasoline powertrains offered by Mercedes appear to remain stock.
Market Focus
Mansory explicitly developed this customization program for the Chinese market, where luxurious vans operated by chauffeurs are highly popular. These vehicles compete with ultra-luxury sedans like the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, offering comparable luxury levels with more interior space and headroom.
