Mark Zuckerberg Designs Custom Porsche Cayenne Minivan
When money isn’t a concern, the possibilities for custom vehicles are endless. In a recent Instagram post, Mark Zuckerberg revealed a unique project: a custom-built Porsche Cayenne, designed to function as a minivan for his family. Since his wife, Priscilla Chan, desired a minivan, and Porsche doesn’t offer one, Zuckerberg collaborated with West Coast Customs to bring his vision to life.
Zuckerberg’s custom Cayenne Turbo GT boasts features not typically found on SUVs, including electrically sliding doors. This modification, though unusual, reflects his desire to provide a comfortable and practical vehicle for his family. Along with the Cayenne, Zuckerberg also ordered a matching 911 GT3 Touring with a manual gearbox and owns a Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing with three pedals, showcasing his appreciation for well-engineered automobiles.
While the cost of this custom-built Cayenne is undisclosed, the standard model already starts at over $200,000. This project adds to the history of Porsche ventures into the minivan space. The project has been compared to the 1980’s Porsche B32, which was a re-engineered Volkswagen T3.
In 2018, Porsche created the Vision Renndienst, an electric minivan concept. The Vision Renndienst included a unique seating layout, including a central driver’s seat flanked by two passenger seats, similar to McLaren F1, Speedtail, and Gordon Murray T.50.
It remains unknown whether the upcoming large Porsche electric SUV, slated for release in 2027, will feature six or seven seats. However, a three-row configuration is planned, with a likely scenario of this new model replacing Zuckerberg’s custom Cayenne.
