Pickup Truck Crash in Sweden, Maine Leaves Driver With Life-Threatening Injuries
SWEDEN, Maine (WGME) — A Massachusetts man sustained serious injuries Wednesday night when his speeding pickup truck crashed into a home in Sweden, Maine. According to the Oxford County Sheriff’s Office, the driver suffered life-threatening injuries in the incident.

Deputies responded to a report of a vehicle crashing into a residence near 1 Lovell Road around 11:05 p.m. Upon arrival, they found the driver of a Ford F-250 pickup truck had driven through the intersection at a high rate of speed and crashed into the home.
The truck crashed through a wall, causing the chimney to collapse onto the vehicle.
Fortunately, no one was inside the home at the time of the crash. The driver, who was the sole occupant of the truck, sustained severe, life-threatening injuries. Emergency responders transported the man to Bridgton Hospital before he was airlifted via Life Flight to Maine Medical Center in Portland.
