Mazda Unveils EZ-60 Electric SUV for Chinese Market
Mazda has officially released the first images of its electric SUV, dubbed the EZ-60, specifically designed for the Chinese market. In other markets, this vehicle will be known as the CX-6e.
The EZ-60’s design takes inspiration from Mazda’s Arata concept car, which debuted last year. It boasts bolder and more aggressive lines compared to Mazda’s current models. The front grille retains Mazda’s signature design, with LED daytime running lights integrated at the bottom edge. The Mazda logo is illuminated to enhance visibility.

Inside, the EZ-60 features a futuristic cockpit dominated by a massive 26.5-inch 5K display that spans nearly half the dashboard’s width. The vehicle also includes a 100-inch head-up display system utilizing augmented reality technology (AR-HUD) to provide drivers with essential information. The traditional physical buttons have been replaced with a touchscreen interface for controlling various vehicle functions.
Other notable features include an electronic rearview mirror system that uses a camera to display images on two screens within the car. The center rearview mirror is a screen, and separate screens are also provided for rear seat passengers, totaling six screens throughout the vehicle.
The EZ-60 offers numerous amenities, including heated and cooled seats for both front and rear passengers, a 23-speaker sound system, 20 storage compartments, a 126-liter front trunk, and a 350-liter rear trunk that expands to 2,036 liters when the seats are folded.
The dimensions of the EZ-60 are 4,850 x 1,935 x 1,620 mm (length x width x height), with a wheelbase of 2,902 mm. The vehicle is based on the EPA1 platform developed by Changan and shares specifications with Changan’s Deepal S07 high-chassis vehicle.
While Mazda has not disclosed the specifications for the pure electric variant, details about the hybrid version have been released. The hybrid model is equipped with a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated 4-cylinder engine that charges a 31.7 kWh battery pack. This battery powers a 255 horsepower electric motor that drives the rear axle.
