McLaren Supercar Involved in Queensland Multi-Vehicle Crash
Brisbane, Australia – A multi-vehicle collision in Hendra, Brisbane, left two police officers injured and caused significant damage to a luxury sports car, according to authorities.
The incident, which occurred at the intersection of Gerler Rd and Nudgee Rd on Tuesday morning, involved a Honda Civic that allegedly failed to give way, resulting in a collision with a police vehicle. The impact subsequently involved a McLaren, causing damage to the high-end sports car.

Police reported that a 17-year-old male driver of the Honda Civic, the sole occupant, was issued a traffic infringement notice. The two police officers involved were treated at the scene and transported to the Royal Brisbane Women’s Hospital for assessment.

A relaxed-looking man was observed inspecting the damage to the McLaren, which appeared to be minor. Car enthusiasts expressed their disappointment at the vehicle’s involvement in the incident.
One social media user wrote, “The McLaren accident looks more expensive than the cop car.” Another commented, “That’s a lot of paperwork.” Other users speculated on the model of McLaren involved, with some suggesting it could be a 720s, 750, or 765 model. McLarens can range from $500,000 to $610,000 AUD in price.
