Mercedes-AMG is poised to electrify the supercar market. Sources suggest the luxury automaker is planning to release an all-electric supercar within the next two years, promising an exciting new chapter for the brand.

The upcoming EV supercar is just one piece of Mercedes’ ambitious plans for the coming years. The company has confirmed that several new and refreshed vehicles are on the horizon, including the new S-class, which has been spotted undergoing testing. The anticipation around the EV supercar is high, as it promises to redefine electric performance.
This new EV supercar will be a true performance benchmark. It aims to push the boundaries of what’s possible in the electric vehicle space, demonstrating Mercedes’ capabilities. Building on innovations seen in models like the EQXX, this new supercar aims to be a leader in its class.
“Where the EQXX aimed to go the furthest, this aims to go the fastest. It will be the fastest-accelerating car AMG has ever produced,” according to a source who spoke with Autocar.
This new supercar is reportedly influenced by the Vision One-Eleven concept that was revealed back in 2023. This upcoming EV supercar will feature AMG’s next-generation drivetrain technology. This includes an “axial-flux electric motor developed by Mercedes-owned UK company Yasa.” This advanced motor will also be incorporated into upcoming models such as the Mercedes-AMG GT SUV and the GT 4-Door Coupé.
Furthermore, Mercedes is continuing to develop advanced battery technology, which is expected to play a pivotal role in the EV supercar’s performance. While solid-state batteries are often discussed, it is unclear what type of battery will be used for this vehicle, however it is expected to continue to push the boundaries of EV technology.
Before the arrival of the AMG EV supercar, Mercedes plans to launch the AMG SL Maybach and SL PureSpeed later this year. Mercedes-AMG will also introduce the newest version of the GT, along with the new GT2 F1 and GT3 F1 variants, signaling a busy period of innovation and expansion for the brand.
