Mercedes-AMG’s All-Electric Supercar Concept
Mercedes-AMG is preparing to unveil an all-electric supercar concept, with a public debut slated for mid-2025. The automaker promises this vehicle will redefine electric performance, emphasizing speed and incorporating the latest electric innovations.
According to Mercedes-AMG insiders, the focus will be on rapid acceleration. Unlike previous electric vehicles, such as the efficiency-focused EQXX, this supercar is engineered to be the fastest-accelerating vehicle AMG has ever produced. The target is to make it one of the quickest production cars on the road in terms of acceleration.
Design Based on the One-Eleven Concept
The all-electric supercar’s design will echo the One-Eleven concept that was introduced in 2023. Although appearing fresh, it will borrow heavily from the earlier concept.
Advanced Electric Drivetrain and Battery Technology
This new supercar will utilize AMG’s next-generation electric drivetrain, powered by an advanced axial-flux electric motor. This Yasa-designed motor, from a UK-based company now owned by Mercedes, will also be used in upcoming Mercedes-AMG models such as the GT SUV and the electric GT 4-Door Coupe. Another key feature will be its next-generation battery, possibly a solid-state unit. These solid-state batteries promise improved efficiency, faster charging times, and extended range compared to current lithium-ion technology. Mercedes is developing this battery technology with its High-Performance Powertrain division located in Brixworth.
Part of a Two-Year Product Launch Plan
This all-electric supercar model will feature in Mercedes-Benz’s two-year plan to introduce several new cars, including both combustion-engine and electric models. The electric supercar will be one of the most anticipated debuts, providing a glimpse into AMG’s electric future.
Emphasis on Performance
The new supercar is expected to deliver exceptional performance. While emphasizing speed, it is likely to incorporate cutting-edge technology found in other Mercedes models, such as the EQS prototype, which has been tested with solid-state batteries and is projected to achieve a range exceeding 620 miles (1,000 kilometers). However, the new supercar will prioritize speed over range.
Mercedes-AMG aims to position itself as a leading electric high-performance car manufacturer. This concept vehicle represents the evolution of AMG, merging next-generation electric motors and batteries with its legacy of high performance. While the concept is set to be unveiled in 2025, production may be several years away. The car will showcase AMG’s dedication to electric high-performance vehicles.

This electric supercar concept foreshadows AMG’s electric future, spotlighting advancements in speed, battery technology, and electric motors.
