Mercedes-Benz Launches EQS 580 Celebration Edition in India
Mercedes-Benz has launched a special edition of its EQS luxury electric sedan in India, called the EQS 580 Celebration Edition. Priced at Rs 1.30 crore (ex-showroom), this limited-edition model is India’s longest-range electric car.
Key Features
The EQS 580 Celebration Edition is equipped with a 107.8 kWh battery pack and dual electric motors, producing 544 bhp and 858 Nm of torque. The all-wheel-drive system enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds.
Range and Charging
The EQS 580 Celebration Edition offers a claimed range of 817km on a single full charge. A 7.4kW AC charger can fully charge the battery in 11 to 17 hours, while a 200kW DC fast charger can charge it from 0 to 80% in just 31 minutes.
Design and Comfort
The car features an illuminated front grille, LED headlamps, 20-inch alloy wheels, and a full-width rear light bar. It measures 5,216mm in length, 2,125mm in width, and 1,521mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,210mm and a ground clearance of 124mm.
Inside, the EQS 580 Celebration Edition comes with a rear seat comfort package, offering multi-contour seats with massage functions, lumbar support, and reclining up to 38 degrees. The car also features a triple screen setup on the dashboard and a rear-seat entertainment system with dual 11.6-inch rear displays and a 7-inch tablet.
