Mercedes-Benz, a brand synonymous with luxury, is set to launch a significantly updated CLA model in India. The new CLA boasts improvements in space, refinement, comfort, intelligence, and efficiency, marking a milestone for the brand.

The new CLA introduces a new family of vehicles. While the initial launch will feature an all-electric CLA with EQ Technology, the possibility of hybrid models entering the Indian market is not excluded.
The CLA with EQ Technology showcases a design that blends intelligence and emotion, featuring a long wheelbase, short overhangs, and a powerful GT rear, which contributes to its athletic appearance. Its sporty proportions are enhanced by a low greenhouse, a long bonnet with power domes, and large wheels. The car’s muscular shoulders extend from the front wheel arches to the rear, while the design emphasizes sculpted surfaces with minimal lines and precise joints.
The interior of the CLA has been redesigned to offer a premium experience. The focal point is the floating MBUX Superscreen, which extends across the car’s width and houses a 10.25-inch driver display and a 14-inch center display. The center console, which appears to float, enhances the sporty feel while offering a three-dimensional trim surface, integrated double cup holder, and optional wireless smartphone charging. The door center panels, which are leather-clad, also contribute to the vehicle’s high-tech design, wrapping around the pull handle.
The new CLA introduces the Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS), making it the most intelligent Mercedes-Benz vehicle to date. The AI-enhanced system incorporates a supercomputer connected to the Mercedes-Benz Intelligent Cloud, allowing for over-the-air updates for critical vehicle functions including driving assistance systems. MB.OS represents the fourth generation of MBUX, integrating AI from both Microsoft and Google, to create a personalized and intuitive interaction between the driver and vehicle.
The all-electric CLA aims to reduce its carbon footprint by 40 percent compared to its non-electrified predecessors. The CLA 250+ with EQ Technology will be among the first models available in India. Its 800-volt electric architecture allows for rapid charging, giving the vehicle a range of up to 325 kilometers after only ten minutes of charging with a 320 kW charger, for its 85 kWh battery. The CLA 250+ has an impressive range of over 700 kilometers. The electric motor, inverter, and transmission are integrated into a single unit, providing intelligent support across all speed ranges.
The new CLA is expected to launch soon, with an estimated price of INR 49 lakhs (ex-showroom).
