Mercedes-Benz India is preparing to launch the Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 Monogram Series on March 17, 2025. This luxury roadster, unveiled globally in August 2024, promises to offer a unique blend of performance and opulent design.

Key Features and Enhancements
Based on the Mercedes-AMG SL 63, the Maybach SL 680 boasts several enhancements that elevate its luxury appeal:
Exterior Upgrades
The SL 680 features a host of Maybach-specific design elements, including:
- A unique chrome grille
- Redesigned front and rear bumpers
- Exclusive Maybach-style alloy wheels
- Additional chrome accents for a distinguished appearance.
Subtle yet elegant touches include rose-gold accents in the headlamp cluster. Customers will also have the option to customize the soft fabric roof, which comes adorned with Maybach logos.
Performance and Specifications
Under the hood, the 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8 engine has been fine-tuned for a smoother power delivery. It generates an impressive 577 bhp and 800 Nm of peak torque. Power is delivered to all four wheels via a 9-speed automatic transmission. The Maybach SL 680 achieves 0-100 kmph in 4.1 seconds, and the top speed is electronically limited to 260 kmph.
Additional refinements include a refined exhaust system, soundproofing materials for a quieter cabin, and an enhanced suspension system for a smoother and more luxurious ride. Rear-axle steering comes standard.
Interior Luxury
The interior of the Maybach SL 680 diverges from the AMG SL 63 with a two-seater configuration, eliminating the rear seats to prioritize luxury and space. The overall layout has been preserved, featuring a large digital console and a prominent central vertical screen. The interior boasts rich Maybach details, including a redesigned steering wheel and updated screen graphics.
Colour Options and Customization
Buyers can choose from a selection of exclusive colour options, such as Red Ambience or White Ambience, with standard finishes. The Red Ambience variant includes a black contrast bonnet, while the White Ambience exterior is entirely white. Furthermore, Mercedes offers an extensive personalization catalogue with numerous paint choices.
Competition and Pricing
The Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 will compete with high-end convertibles such as the Bentley Continental GT Convertible and the Aston Martin DB12 Volante in the Indian market. The anticipated price for the Maybach SL 680 is approximately ₹3 crore upon its arrival in India.
