MG Motor is poised to launch two significant electric vehicles in India under its MG Select programme: the Cyberster, a fully-electric roadster, and the M9, a luxury electric MPV. The Cyberster was showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo earlier this year, generating considerable interest. The M9, also a fully-imported CBU model, has already begun accepting pre-bookings at a token amount of Rs 51,000 via the MG Select website since March this year.
MG M9 Interior Features
The MG M9 boasts opulent interiors, earning it the moniker “The Presidential Limousine”. Key highlights include:
- Presidential Seats with 16-way adjustment, eight massage settings, ventilation, and heating
- Three-row seating configuration for seven passengers
- Reclining seats with massage functions in the second row
- Dual-tone interiors in pure black or cognac brown
- Novel amenities such as a dual Yacht-style panoramic sunroof, 64-color ambient lighting, 3-zone climate control, and a 12-speaker sound system
- Additional features include 6-way power-adjustable seats, 4-way adjustable steering wheel, plush leather upholstery, and seamless connectivity with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay


MG M9 Specifications
The MG M9 will be available in three color options: Cardiff Black, Mystic Grey, and Luminous White. Its dimensions include a length of 5,270mm, width of 2,000mm, height of 1,840mm, and a wheelbase of 3,200mm. The vehicle is equipped with a 90 kWh battery pack powering an electric motor that produces 240 hp and 350 Nm of peak torque. It features a front-wheel-drive setup with a claimed range of 430 km on a single charge. The battery supports fast charging, recharging from 30% to 80% in just 30 minutes using a 120 kW DC charger.
