MG Windsor Pro Launch Confirmed for May 6
JSW MG Motor India has announced the launch of the MG Windsor Pro, scheduled for May 6, 2025. The new variant is expected to bring significant upgrades to the popular electric vehicle model, which has already seen over 20,000 units sold.
Key Upgrades in MG Windsor Pro
The MG Windsor Pro is anticipated to feature a larger 50.6 kWh battery pack, potentially increasing the vehicle’s range to approximately 460 km on a single charge, compared to the current 332 km offered by the existing 38 kWh battery. Alongside the enhanced battery, the Pro variant is likely to include:
- Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) charging capability, allowing the car to function as a mobile power station
- Electrically adjustable front passenger seat
- Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems)
- Subtle styling enhancements on both the exterior and interior
Features and Specifications
The new Windsor Pro will build upon the existing top-spec Essence variant’s features, including:
- Digital console
- 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
- Wireless charging
- Fixed glass roof
- Ambient lighting
- Reclining rear seat
- 9-speaker Infinity audio system
The powertrain is expected to remain unchanged, with a single electric motor producing 134 bhp and 200 Nm of peak torque.
Market Positioning and Pricing
The MG Windsor Pro will be positioned against competitors such as the Tata Curvv EV, Mahindra BE 6, and Hyundai Creta Electric. Pricing is expected to be competitive within the electric vehicle segment, with the current Windsor range priced between ₹10-12 lakh under the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) scheme and ₹14-16 lakh for outright purchase.

The launch of the MG Windsor Pro is set to further bolster JSW MG Motor India’s presence in the rapidly growing electric vehicle market in India.
