Motorcyclist Killed in Ovid Crash
OVID, N.Y. — The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred Wednesday afternoon.
According to authorities, 23-year-old Ronald Wheeler of Interlaken was operating a motorcycle on County Road 139 in Ovid around 3 p.m. when he drove off the road and collided with a pickup truck parked in a driveway. Wheeler was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators believe speed and strong wind gusts contributed to the accident.
