MrBeast’s High-Speed Test in Formula E Ends in a Crash
MrBeast, the hugely popular YouTuber, recently took a spin in Formula E’s cutting-edge GEN3 Evo race car. The event, held at the Miami International Autodrome as part of the Evo Sessions, promised high-speed excitement. However, the experience took an unexpected turn when MrBeast lost control and crashed.

James ‘Jimmy’ Donaldson, famously known as MrBeast, was invited to test the GEN3 Evo, a car renowned for its incredible acceleration. Reportedly, the car can go from 0 to 60 mph in just 1.82 seconds, 30% faster than Formula 1 cars.
After completing his first lap without issue, MrBeast began his second lap. While navigating a left-hand turn, he lost control of the car and initiated a full 360-degree spin before hitting the wall. Thankfully, the collision resulted in no injuries. MrBeast was able to exit the vehicle without assistance.
The incident prompted an immediate pause in the session to remove the now-damaged Cupra Kiro GEN3 Evo from the track. The car typically is driven by German racer David Beckmann.
Despite the unexpected crash, MrBeast maintained a lighthearted attitude. On returning to the pit lane area, he humorously remarked, “I did the thing…” drawing laughter from the team. Dan Ticktum, Beckmann’s teammate, was also observed smiling at the events.
The Evo Sessions event, which attracts many global celebrities and influential figures, also included stars like ex-footballer Sergio Aguero, actor Tom Felton, and car enthusiast Supercar Blondie. MrBeast’s involvement, however, was a separate collaboration with the Cupra Kiro racing team, reportedly for a future video project.
While MrBeast’s track time was cut short due to the incident, his experience demonstrated the unforgiving nature of these high-performance race cars.
