Unexpected Sighting of Kia Tasman in the United States
A surprising discovery has been made on I-95 in Florida, where a car carrier semi-truck was spotted transporting a production 2026 Kia Tasman 4X midsize truck. The Kia Tasman, which made its world debut in South Korea, is not scheduled for sale in the United States, making this sighting particularly intriguing.

The images, courtesy of Trevor Campos, show the Tasman on a standard U.S. car hauler heading south on I-95 in St Augustine, Florida. Campos noted that he captured these photos safely while commuting home from work. The truck appears to be a production model, still bearing some new vehicle packaging, including small blue foam pads on the doors.

While Kia has no official plans to sell or manufacture the Tasman in the United States, the presence of this vehicle suggests it may be in the country for testing or promotional purposes. Kia has been testing camouflaged Tasman prototypes in various U.S. locations for several months, with previous sightings reported in states like Nevada.

The Kia Tasman is a body-on-frame pickup truck designed to compete with models like the Toyota Hilux and Ford Ranger in global markets. Its appearance in Florida, potentially for a private showing or testing, highlights the common practice among manufacturers to test vehicles in various regions, even if they’re not intended for local sale.
